Joseph Destito
Owner / Inpector
Joseph Destito has called Tucson home since childhood and has spent much of his career working with the buildings, systems, and properties that shape Southern Arizona. His background in construction and facilities management eventually led him to home inspection, a career change he had wanted to make for years and finally pursued after an unexpected injury gave him the opportunity to complete his professional training.
Today, Joseph brings that practical experience to every inspection, along with a strong connection to the community he serves. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, attending Arizona Wildcats and Chicago Bears games, fishing with his sons, and working on trucks in the garage. Old Pueblo Home Inspection has also become a family endeavor, with his son Joe joining him in providing inspection services throughout the Tucson area.

Joe Destito
Inpector
Joe Destito brings a unique combination of military service, construction experience, and hands-on knowledge to Old Pueblo Home Inspection. A graduate of Sabino High School, Joe joined the United States Navy about nine months after finishing school and served as a Damage Controlman aboard the USS Tripoli in San Diego.
As a Damage Controlman, Joe was trained in responsibilities that included firefighting, plumbing, mechanical systems, emergency response, and shipboard damage control. His service gave him extensive practical experience troubleshooting systems, responding to problems under pressure, and understanding how multiple mechanical and safety components work together. During his time in the Navy, Joe also had the opportunity to travel throughout the world, including Japan, Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, South America, and several parts of the United States.
After leaving the Navy, returning to the family construction business was a natural next step. Having grown up around construction and already developed strong technical skills through his military service, Joe spent two years working in the field and expanding his understanding of residential construction, building materials, and the way homes come together from the ground up.
That background made home inspection a logical progression. Today, Joe applies his military discipline, construction knowledge, and problem-solving experience to helping clients better understand the homes they are buying, building, or maintaining. His goal is to provide a careful, straightforward inspection and clearly explain what he finds so clients can make informed decisions with confidence.

With Joseph and Joe, you’re working with more than two inspectors—you’re working with a father-and-son team that brings decades of construction knowledge, military experience, and a genuine connection to the Tucson community. Their complementary backgrounds give Old Pueblo Home Inspection a practical, hands-on perspective on how homes are built, maintained, and where problems are most likely to develop.
Whether you’re buying, building, or caring for the home you already own, you can feel confident knowing your inspection is in experienced hands. Joseph and Joe are committed to giving you clear answers, straightforward guidance, and the detailed information you need to move forward with confidence.
